What WedCalc does
WedCalc started with one question every couple asks: "How much alcohol do we actually need?" From there it grew into a small toolbox:
- Calculators for wedding drinks, party drinks, budget, food quantities and cake sizes — each one shows the formula it uses, works in the buying units stores sell (bottles, cases, pounds, tiers), and lets you type in your own local prices.
- A card studio where you design wedding invitations, save-the-dates, thank-you cards, menu cards, place cards, party invitations, memorial cards and funeral programs — pick a style, colours and fonts, then download a high-resolution image or print.
- Planners for your seating chart, the order of the day, and your guest list — saved automatically in your own browser.
- Ready-made guides with full shopping lists for receptions of 50, 100, 150 and 200 guests.
How it works
Every tool runs entirely in your web browser. There are no accounts, no uploads and no servers storing your plans — what you type stays on your device (designs and planners save to your browser's local storage so you can come back to them). The calculators use widely published planning rules of thumb — for example, two drinks per guest in the first hour and one per hour after that — and every page shows its working so you can check the maths yourself.
WedCalc is free to use. The figures are planning estimates only: always confirm quantities with your venue, caterer or bartender before you buy, because every event, venue and crowd is different.
